The CISX achieves its latest listed security milestone

The Market Authority of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange (CISX/Exchange) is pleased to announce the approval of the 3,000th security, which was admitted to the Official List on 15 December 2008. Best Buy Distributions Ltd, an issuer of specialist debt securities, was sponsored by Ogier Corporate Finance Ltd.

Skipton Guernsey updates its savings rates

Skipton Guernsey has announced its new savings rates which take effect from 01 January 2009. With the UK base rate at its lowest level for 57 years according to the Bank of England, the highlight of these new savings rates is their flagship Island 90 account, which is paying customers up to 4.50% gross/AER* .

Promontory report now available for download

The Guernsey Financial Services Commission (the Commission) is today publishing on its website a report prepared by a team from Promontory Financial Group (UK) Limited (PFG), led by Michael Foot CBE, into the circumstances leading to the rescue of Northern Rock (Guernsey) Limited and the placing of Landsbanki Guernsey Limited (LGL) into Administration.
