Lloyd's get their license in Guernsey

A licence has been issued to Lloyd’s that enables Lloyd’s underwriters to carry on insurance business in Guernsey. The licence permits general insurance business (including domestic business) to be written in or from within the Bailiwick.

The CISX achieves its latest listed security milestone

The Market Authority of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange (CISX/Exchange) is pleased to announce the approval of the 3,000th security, which was admitted to the Official List on 15 December 2008. Skipton Guernsey updates its savings rates

Skipton Guernsey has announced its new savings rates which take effect from 01 January 2009. With the UK base rate at its lowest level for 57 years according to the Bank of England, the highlight of these new savings rates is their flagship Island 90 account, which is paying customers up to 4.50% gross/AER* .
