Security
Biometric thumb scanners and proximity tags control access to the data centre. Only our own technicians have access. Public access is strictly forbidden. All entrances are monitored via closed-circuit cameras. Clients wishing to work on their servers will be able to do so from within a separate workroom via KVM links. Our staff will remove servers from the Data Centre to this facility for hardware maintenance.
Fire-suppression
In the unlikely event of a fire, an advanced fire-suppression system is in place to extinguish it immediately.
Air Conditioning system.
All racks are fed individually from below, insuring a constant temperature through out. Extraction fans in the ceilings remove excess heat, while air purification filters maintain a dust free environment.
Electrical Supplies.
Guernsey.Net's data centre is designed to run uninterrupted even in the unlikely event of a mains electrical failure. All servers are supported by UPS's (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), which will cut in if the main electrical supply fails. In the event of an extended power failure, our on-site diesel generator can run indefinitely. The diesel generator is highly maintained and regularly tested to ensure its functionality in the event of an extended electrical supply failure.
