| Calendula arvensis | Asteraceae | Field Marigold |
| Picture 1 | Close Up |
Description - At first, one might mistake this for the more common Pot Marigold Calendula officinalis, but this plant grows taller (up to 35cm) and flowers and leaves are smaller.
Habitat - Recent records are mainly coastal, but it can turn up anywhere. It copes with quite poor soil.
Comments - This is an uncommon plant, which will occur in one location for several years and then vanish. It comes from southern Europe, and is rarely seen on mainland Britain.
