|Carpobrotus glaucescens||Aizoaceae||Sea Fig|
Description - A smaller version of Carpobrotus edulis, with succulent leaves, triangular in section and about 3-6cm long. The flowers are also smaller and pale pink with white at the base of the petals.
Habitat - Growing in mats on sea cliffs.
Comments - This is much less common than C. edulis, and seems more reluctant to spread. It comes originally from Eastern Australia, who knows how it came to Guernsey? It also occurs in the other islands, apart from Sark.
