Description - A very large rush with dangerously sharp points to its leaves and stems.

Habitat - In sandy areas on the west coast and also in two places at the foot of the cliffs. It is very common at the north end of Herm.

Comments - The spiny leaves can pierce the skin or the eyes if one incautiously runs amongst the plants.
