Leucoagaricus leucothites, White Dapperling. This fungus is unsure if it is a Parasol or a Mushroom, so has settled, taxonomically, between the two. It has the pale gills and spores of the Parasols, but the shape and size of a Mushroom. There is a ring on the stipe, which can usually be found on both the latter groups.The White Dapperling is uncommon, and mainly coastal, and enjoys short grassland and lawns. It is said to be edible but not worthwhile.
