|Lotus tenuis||Fabaceae||Narrow-leaved Bird's-foot Trefoil|
Description - Very similar to Common Bird's-foot Trefoil, although the leaflets of this species are much narrower. The colour is different too, being a lemon yellow, without the orange colour nearly always present in the commoner species.
Habitat - Our plants grow in an area of vegetated dune slack, which is sometimes affected by sea-water.
Comments - Apart from one record on Houmet Paradis in 1975, this occurs only in two sites at Vazon (first record 1900) It is doing well here and increasing at present, but it is rather surprising that it has been found nowhere else. In the other Channel Islands there is one old record from Jersey.
