Description - A small yellow green moss. When dry the thin shoots arch downwards, when wet the leaves spread and the shoot appears much thcker
Habitat - Here and there round the coast, both on cliffs and sand dunes, also on wall tops inland.
Comments - A rather rare southern species I n the UK especially on base-rich rocks. Here it it appears to benefit from slightly alkaline conditions provided by the mortar of walls or by sea shells in the sand
