The following pictures are my "2 Star" images - very good pictures, but with faults that prevent me from getting too enthuiastic! Perhaps the kite went partially out of frame, or the illumination was badly placed/too bright, or in general I just thought I should have done better!
| 3 loops | Slightly out of frame at the top, but otherwise an excellent, clear shot of three loops, rising slightly. |

| Torch-lit takeoff | The torch light was not centered correctly on the kite, and we left it in place for too long, but the overall effect is very good indeed. |

| 5 loops | The use of a cluster of green lights at the wingtips makes this shot much more powerful. Although a little confused on the left hand side, the clarity of the cycloid line of green gives a great sense of the kite's motion. |

| Axle takeoff | For many people, the axle trick is very difficult to visualise. It is quite hard to work out on these pictures, too, but makes some interesting lines! The problem with forward-facing LEDs is that when the kite flat spins or axles away, you lose the light-line. This shot luckily avoided that problem. |

| Spin landing | With the crossing over of the light-lines in this shot, you can clearly see how the initial turn puts the kite nose-diving towards the ground, and then spins a half-turn to right itself, ending up exactly on the ground. (Actually, you can see that the wingtip on the right landed first, then the kite dropped back the rest of the way) |

| Takeoff and slide axle | Another axle variation. The kite has taken off, and starts to slide right, when the right wing is tugged up in an axle, while the kite still floats to the side. I don't quite know what the lights on the right are telling us, I presume the kite crashed later while the shutter was still open. |

| 270-degree turn | A simple, cleanly executed turn upwards, going the long way round the loop. |

| Long stall with flash | Without good notes taken at the time, this would have been difficult to identify. The kite was being held in a stall position when the shot was started, drifting around a little as the wind picks up and the pilot steps forward to compensate. After the flash caught the kite, it appeared to stall completely, and fall out of the sky in a heap! |

| Torch-lit takeoff | Although over-exposed whilst on the ground, the side-slide after takeoff here suggests that the kite flew towards the camera in an arc ... an interesting visual illusion. |

| Spin axle | Fast spin axle, with the kite dropping down through the manoeuvre before being pulled back up into flight. |
