Sorrento
Sorrento, Italy was the main R.A.F. Rest Camp for personnel in 205 Group.
Most Crews would have spent leave there, enjoying decent food and clean beds
with sheets. Many Crews stayed at the Hotel Minerva which is shown in the
contemporary postcard above.
Most aircrew enjoyed their stay in the Hotel and almost everyone bought a
souvenir of their stay in Sorrento - carved boxes and other crafts which were
sent back to the U.K.
