Christian Reconciliation

The Guernsey Council of Churches is working on a project to bring German Christians to Guernsey in a spirit of reconciliation and to help to develop new Christian friendships in Europe.

The project will be launched on the 16th September 1996 at a meeting to be attended by Mr Robin Gurney of the European Ecumenical Council in Geneva and also the Bishop of Winchester

A special invitation will be sent to Germany through all European denominational channels this September. It will also be publicised on German radio, TV and Press.

It is hoped that there will be a significant response from Christians in Germany. There will be a need for some bilingual visitors who can asssist in the events which are being planned for the visit which is to be from Saturday 20th to Saturday 27th September 1997.
