The domestic cat evolved from the African wild cat, Felis libyca. Feral cats are the offspring of stray or abandoned domestic cats who revert to a wild state. Raised without human contact, they are fearful of humans. Feral cats are successful survivors, especially in urban areas, where they scavenge off rubbish, left-over food, and feedings by sympathetic people. The domestic cat was introduced throughout the world by explorers and scientists.

Our Aim 

Is to purchase a piece land that overlooks beautiful scenery of the north coast of Guernsey and create The feng Shui Cats Sanctuary.

In Guernsey, old vinery sites, and farms represent areas where successful colonies of managed, sterilised cats live.

One such site is for sale!

The property has an area of 2.5 acres of land that has in the past been used as a vinery and is now derelict and home to 3 colonies of feral cats that are the subject of this web site.

Due to local bureaucracy the property has been spared the destruction caused by property speculators wanting to turn the vinery into housing. We would like to purchase the property and continue with the removal of the existing glass and establish the wild life along with the feral cats.

This project will need a lot of money too complete but when finished will be a wild garden open to private viewing by invitation only.
