WORLD DAIRY EXPO MADISON WISC USA

SUPREME CHAMMPION OVER ALL BREEDS

INDIAN ACRES PISTASHIO PIE

Sire: Four Winds Magicman

Indian Acres MM Pistachio Pie, a 5-year-old Guernsey cow was named the Supreme Champion cow over all breeds at the 2007 World Dairy Expo held October 2-6, Madison, Wisconsin, USA. In shows spanning five days, over 2,400 animals competed for the Grand Champion title in their respective breed before each of seven breed champions squared off to vie for the title of Supreme Champion. A Guernsey cow had not won the title since 1979. Pistachio Pie was also named Supreme Champion of the Junior Shows at World Dairy Expo, making her the only cow in the long history of the show to claim both titles. She had previously claimed the Supreme Champion title at the All-American Dairy Show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a show held two weeks prior to World Dairy Expo.

AUSTRALIA

INTERNATIONAL DAIRY WEEK 2008

Lyndon and Joyce Cleggett celebrated another outstanding result during the Guernsey judging at International Dairy Week. The South Australian couple returned with a name familiar to many in the breed.  Brookleigh Nitros Irishcream, sired by Sherma Enhancer Rosie Nitro, won the five years in-milk before travelling all the way to grand champion. She will now take her place with the other breed champions in the chase for supreme champion of all breeds, which is decided at the conclusion of Holstein judging on Thursday afternoon.

Brookleigh was also the prefix on the intermediate champion, Brookleigh Tillers Bystander. Bystander was sired by Trotacre Loral Tiller. The junior champion was won by the winner of class three, Glenally Div Dulcie. She was sired by Dividend Glenally Guernseys.
